Fighting and winning for clients

The Law Office of Adam D. Harris, L.L.C. is dedicated to the zealous and ethical representation of our clients. As your advocate and counselor, Adam Harris brings to bear years of courtroom experience. Adam Harris was a trial attorney in the Rockville branch of the Maryland Office of the Public Defender for 13 years. As an Assistant Public Defender, he was trial counsel in approximately 70 jury trials and hundreds of bench trials. His clients have heard juries say "Not guilty" in cases in which they were charged with rape, armed robbery, assault, burglary, and drug distribution. He has also prevailed in motions to dismiss and motions to suppress evidence-- ensuring that his clients never had to face a jury. Most recently, Adam Harris was a federal prosecutor in the Criminal Section, Civil Rights Division at the U.S. Department of Justice. In that capacity, he investigated and prosecuted police officers and corrections officers for excessive physical force against persons in custody.

Adam Harris's background as a defense attorney and former federal prosecutor makes him an ideal advocate. As a veteran public defender, he mastered the skills of preparing his clients for trial, cross-examining difficult witnesses, and persuading judges and jurors. Working as a federal prosecutor revealed how prosecutors and investigators work and think. This perspective gives him an edge in defending his clients now.
